It's all coming together

Well it's almost 4 months until I leave for Europe, but seeing as I've already set up this blog I'd better put at least one entry in it, just so it looks like I know what I'm doing and how to use this thing. Anyway, the idea behind this is: Most people write bulk emails when they go on a trip; I've decided to keep a blog. Anyone that cares can check to see if it's updated any time they want, and everyone else won't have massive emails cluttering their inbox. As an added bonus, I'll have a ready-made diary of my trip when I come home. Everybody's happy.

The flights are booked and the deposits paid - I leave on Saturday May 14. So far the plan is: Land in London, see Bianca and the sights for a few days; then a whirlwind 21 day tour through Scandinavia and Russia; then settle down and work in Dublin for a few months; at Christmas to Argentina to visit the family; then to the USA for a visit (and to see my cousin); then back to Barcelona to work for a year. This plan can (and probably will) change at any given moment, but thanks to the internet revolution, most likely you'll know about it as soon as I do.

I don't know whether I'm more scared or excited. Hopefully my excitement will drown out my fear. I have no idea what to pack, I've already bought a $200 coat, then realised I'll be having 3 summers in a row - this summer, the European summer and then the South American summer. Hopefully we will see some of that famous UK rainy crappy weather so I can at least try out the thing.

Anyway, I'd better go and look for a second job, because otherwise I know I'll end up stuck in Vladivostok or someplace without enough money for a cup of coffee.
